Today

Today is your opening view in GardenOS. It is the calm, present-focused half of the app: it answers one question, what needs you right now, and then helps you close the loop. The forecasting and the metrics live on Workload and the garden Dashboard, not here.

What you see

At the top, a small load bar sums today’s estimated effort into a light/steady/busy read, and a 7-day strip gives a glance at how the next week looks. Then the day’s tasks, sorted by urgency:

  1. Overdue — tasks past their due date that are still open
  2. Due today — tasks due right now
  3. In progress — tasks you have already started
  4. Upcoming — tasks due in the next few days

Each task shows its type, the planting or asset it belongs to, and an estimated time.

Completing a task

Tap Mark done on a task to complete it. It leaves Today immediately and moves to your history. Defer pushes a task to another day if today is too full.

A gentle note

When something is worth a nudge — a planting that is ready, a week that is spiking, an overdue task — Today shows a short note. The whole note is tappable and takes you straight to the thing it is about.

Enough for today

When you are done, Enough for today closes the loop with a calm “garden is set, rest well” screen. It is a deliberate stopping point, not a measure of how much you got through.

Capturing something

Tap Capture (the microphone icon in the nav) to open a note field. Speak or type what you observed, want to do, or planted. GardenOS parses your note and shows you a preview of what it found — you confirm before anything is saved.

See Capture note for the full guide.

Tips

  • Today shows tasks for the garden you are currently in. Switch gardens using the switcher at the top of the sidebar, or go to All gardens to see urgent tasks across every garden you manage.
  • If Today looks empty, your open tasks may not have due dates. Set them on the Tasks page.
  • The AI can propose tasks for you — tap Propose tasks on the Tasks page or in Workload.
